2 - Multimedia User
Recommended Specification
Multi-media
users require a powerful media player
with a decent sized screen and a large
amount of memory. Specialist video playing
units are termed MP4's which refer
to a video format known as MPEG4.
Despite the terminology, these units do
play a broad range of
files formats.
Multi-media
players cross over between MP3 players
(such as the latest Apple i-Pods featuring
2.5 inch screens) and MP4 players that
feature larger screen sizes for improved
video viewing. The large screen models
consume more power than their smaller
counterparts.
These mult-media
units therefore use high capacity batteries
made from Lithium Polymer that are charged
via USB cables connected to computers.
Many units also have mains powered docking
stations that allow the player to operate
whilst the batteries are being recharged.
