Step 2 - Wildlife Photography Recommended Specification Wildlife shots are mostly taken from a static position and require a long lens with a tripod for stability as light levels can get very low. The best image quality is delivered by digital SLR cameras as they feature large image sensors that capture a large amount of image data . Their exposure settings are also very accurate as they measured the light through the lens itself before the picture is captured. Finally, digital SLR cameras do allow the user to use different telephoto lenses which give greater control over actual picture composition.
